Hallmark’s Curious Caterer: Dying For Chocolate premieres this weekend on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. The movie is based on the 1992 book Dying For Chocolate by Dianne Mott Davidson. It is the second in the Goldy Schulz series.
Hallmark’s Curious Caterer: Dying For Chocolate — The plot
Nikki DeLoach stars as Goldy Berry, a single mother and small-town Colorado caterer. When her friend dies under mysterious circumstances, Goldy joins forces with Detective Tom Schultz (played by Andrew Walker). According to a synopsis from Hallmark, the two end up “discovering a hidden recipe for murder.”

Nikki DeLoach got her start in 1994 as Angela Malloy on the TV series Emerald Cove. She had roles on the TV shows CSI: NY, Mad Men, and NCIS. Her first Hallmark movie was 2016’s Christmas Land. She has also starred in Love to the Rescue, Cranberry Christmas, Taking the Reins, and Five More Minutes.
A native of Canada, Andrew Walker got his start on TV in the series Student Bodies. He had roles on NYPD Blue, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, ER, and the Big Bang Theory. His Hallmark credits include the movies Wedding March 4: Something Old, Something New, The 27-Hour Day, and Unexpected Christmas.
Walker and DeLoach appeared together in the movies The Perfect Catch and Sweet Autumn.

DeLoach and Walker both posted photos to Instagram from the set of the movie.
“Been loving this gig, so thankful I get to play this character,” Walker wrote in an Instagram post. “Going to be a fun one for you all to watch! Detective Tom Schultz. @hallmarkmovie @hallmarkchannel #dyingforchocolate.”
In another post, he and DeLoach grinned for the camera. He captioned it, “Having a tough time finding chemistry with this one…”
DeLoach posted a photo with the caption “Late night hallway acting with @awalkk35.”
Curious Caterer: Dying For Chocolate will premiere on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries on Sunday, April 10 at 9/8c.
