Though she is more than ready to take on the challenge, she runs into problems when it comes time to meet with the man who has been appointed to run the event. Carson Jacob Harrison (Lissing) is the reluctant heir to the Harrison Foundation. However, he has no interest in the foundation. Instead, he spends his time traveling the world taking photographs.

His aunt puts him in charge of the Christmas fundraiser, hoping he will start taking his duties as heir more seriously.

At first, Molly struggles to get Harrison interested in the event. But when she shows him all the good the foundation has done for the town — and for her, personally — he changes his mind, and the two begin working on a history of the foundation.
