The Hallmark movie Always Amore:
What is it about?
According to a synopsis from Hallmark, Autumn Reeser plays Elizabeth, a widow working hard to keep her late husband Marco’s Italian restaurant in business. She’s holding on to the recipes and styles established by Marco to honor his memory, but business continues to go downhill. At the urging of her mother-in-law (played by Patty McCormack), Elizabeth hires Ben (Tyler Hynes), a “restaurant fixer” who has many new ideas to save money, enhance the décor, and change the menu.
Elizabeth is initially reluctant to change anything and instead focuses on showing Ben what makes the restaurant, Il Cibo È Vita, so special. The two begin to work together, and they seize the opportunity to enter their head chef into a cooking competition to revitalize interest in the restaurant. In the process, Elizabeth rediscovers her love of baking and even opens her heart to the possibility of love.
Who is in it?
A Hallmark favorite, Reeser recently co-starred with Alison Sweeney and Lacey Chabert in The Wedding Veil trilogy. She has also starred in A Country Wedding, Love on the Meni, and Christmas Under the Stars.
On her Instagram, Reeser shared a photo of the movie and dedicated it to the memory of her grandmother.
“I am dedicating this film to my Gramma Bea, who passed away last week,” she wrote in the caption. “She was my biggest fan and always made sure that everyone watched my Hallmark films. I loved making her happy, and I hope she’ll be watching from above this time!!!”
Tyler Hynes started acting as a child, starring in the TV series Neverending Story. He went on to have parts on Valemont, Warehouse 13, and Heartland.
He has also starred in the Hallmark movies Falling For Love, Winter in Vail, and An Unexpected Christmas.
Academy Award nominee Patty McCormack had her breakout role in 1956’s The Bad Seed. She went on to appear in Rawhide, As the World Turns, Death Valley Days, and The Doctors. She has also had roles on The Sopranos, Criminal Minds, and Entourage.
Always Amore premieres on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries on Sunday, April 3 at 9/8c.
