Filming is wrapping up on Chesapeake Shores Season 6. Cast members have been sharing photos and videos on Instagram of the set, many saying how sad they were to be saying farewell to the show.
“Goodbye O’Brien house. You have been a comfort for six lovely years,” wrote Treat Williams in an Instagram post.
Castmate Jessica Sipos responded with two hearts. Barbara Niven added, “Loved sharing our last scene at the O’Brien house tonight. So hard to say goodbye.”
A fan also weighed in, calling the Vancouver Island home that doubles as the O’Brien house “a character in itself.”
Meghan Ory shared a behind-the-scenes photo with Emilie Ullerup, captioning it, “Reunited!! #sisters @emilie.ullerup #chesapeakeshores season 6 #lasthurrah.”
Chesapeake Shores Season 6
Fans were thrilled when Hallmark Channel announced it was bringing back Chesapeake Shores for a sixth season. They were sad to hear it would also be the show’s last.
“Don’t understand why you are getting rid of such good shows,” one wrote on Twitter. “Did the same thing with Cedar Cove.”
Chesapeake Shores was the third show Hallmark canceled in 12 months. The series Good Witch ended in July 2021. The lifestyle series Home and Family aired its final episode in August 2021. In the wake of these cancellations, Hallmark announced it would be filming two brand new primetime series, The Way Home and Ride.

Cast members have been posting photos and videos from the set.
“For no reason,” wrote Williams in the caption of a selfie with Brendan Penny and Robert Buckley.
Emilie Ullerup posted a selfie with Meghan Ory and Laci Mailey.
“Hello,” she wrote, “it [is] us.”
In another snap, she showed the cast gathered around a dinner table for a scene.
Barbara Niven, who plays Meg O’Brien on the show, shared a video from her day off with co-stars Treat Williams and newcomer Mariesa Crouse.
“Sunday fun day with two of my favorite peeps on the island Treat Williams and Mariesa Crouse. We hiked to two different waterfalls, then found this incredible donut shop. I love to share food with people. My fantasy is to go into a restaurant one day and walk around and try one bite off of everybody’s plate.

Hallmark Channel hasn’t announced when the new season will premiere. Season 5 had its debut in August 2021.
