A mystery leads to romance in Ireland in the new Hallmark movie Love’s Portrait

What's on Hallmark this weekend? The Hallmark movie Love's Portrait takes place in Ireland.

The new Hallmark movie Love’s Portrait features a mystery, a trip to Ireland, and — of course — romance. The film stars Aubrey Aubrey and Richard McWilliams.

Reynolds posted a photo to her Instagram with the caption, “…Set your DVRs! Call your Mom/Grandma/Aunt Lucy – tell them to set their DVRs! They will thank you!”

Reynolds plays Lily, a museum curator who discovers a painting of a woman who looks exactly like her. She is assigned to track down the artist. Her search takes her all the way to Ireland, where she meets William (played by McWilliams) and his sister Saoirse (played by McWilliams and actress Kathryn McKiernan) who seem to know more about the painting than they are letting on.

The situation becomes even more complicated when Lily and William begin to develop feelings for each other.

Director John Lyde, who co-wrote the script with Brittany Wiscombe, shared behind-the-scenes photos on his Instagram account.

“Filming in Ireland was a dream,” he wrote. “Their actors, crew, weather and locations were grand. What a heavenly place.”
