Actor Jesse Metcalfe, who played Trace Riley on the Hallmark shows Chesapeake Shores, is returning to TV. The actor will star in the V. C. Andrews Dawn Cutler Series, a set of movies for Lifetime that will also feature Donna Mills, Fran Drescher, and Brec Bassinger.

The stars of Crown Media helped Hallmark actress Holly Robinson Peete celebrate as she received her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“Somebody pinch meeee!!!” Robinson Peete wrote on her Instagram page. “35 years after I met @magicjohnson …And 45 years after I met @levar.burton they presented me with my star on the Hollywood walk of fame this morning! I can’t even believe it! I love them both so much and they’ve met so much to me in my life.”

The new Hallmark show The Way Home is being written and produced by the mother-daughter team Heather Conkie and Alexandra Clarke. The pair, who wrote the script for the Disney Channel movie Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars, have also collaborated on the award-winning series Heartland.

Hallmark’s Cameron Mathison recently opened up about his childhood battle with a rare degenerative bone disease. The actor and TV host posted five photos to his Instagram account that show him as a child wearing a leg brace and using crutches to walk.
