In Mystic Christmas, Jessy Shram stars as Juniper Jones, a marine biologist who enjoys traveling the world and has no plans to settle down. When a friend from college asks her to take a temporary assignment in the quaint town of Mystic, Connecticut, she agrees.

At the Marine Mammal Rehabilitation Center and Aquarium, she helps staff members prepare a seal named Peppermint for release back into the wild. When she is not working, Juniper finds herself exploring the town.

She is surprised when she runs into Sawyer (Chandler Massey), the owner of a local pizza shop, with whom she shared a romantic evening a few years earlier. Their reunion is awkward but they find they still have chemistry. They begin seeing each other with the understanding that their romance will be temporary. Juniper is determined to leave Mystic once her assignment is finished and Sawyer says he never wants to live anywhere other than Mystic.

But as Juniper joins in the town’s Christmas activities, she finds herself wondering if a life of traveling is really what she wants.
