Warren Christie and Sara Canning will star in a new Hallmark movie about nine strangers who band together to get home in time for the holidays. Holiday Road, which is inspired by true events, will premiere this weekend as part of Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas lineup.

When bad weather leaves a group of strangers stranded at the airport at the holidays, a tech entrepreneur (Christie), a travel writer (Canning), a devoted mother (Enid-Raye Adams) and her son (Kiefer O’Reilly), a stubborn senior (Trevor Lerner), an enigmatic woman with a hint of mystery (Brittany Willacy), a couple traveling from Hong Kong (Sharon Crandall and Ryan Mah) and a social media influencer (Princess Davis) all agree to rent a shared van to embark on a road trip to Denver.
When their unexpected journey brings them into uncharted territory, they navigate a series of misadventures together and form a deeper bond that just might change the trajectories of each of their lives.
About the cast
Warren Christie was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and grew up in Canada. In 2007, Christie landed a lead role in the series October Road. He went on to appear in the TV shows Battlestar Galactica, Supernatural, Arrow, Andromeda, and Castle.
He has starred in the Hallmark movies The Most Wonderful Time of the Year (2008), If I Only Had Christmas (2020), Crashing Through the Snow (2021), and The More Love Grows (2023).
Sara Canning has appeared in the TV shows Supernatural, Smallville, Republic of Doyle, The Vampire Diaries, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Van Helsing, and Nancy Drew. She has starred in the movies Garage Sale Mysteries (2013), The Christmas Temp (2019), The Christmas Yule Blog (2020), A Christmas Star (2021), Love Amongst the Stars (2022), Christmas at the Golden Dragon (2022), and Coupled Up For Christmas.
Holiday Road will premiere on Hallmark Channel on Friday, November 24 at 8/7c.
