In the new Hallmark movie 3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost, the lively spirit of a 1920s flapper refuses to leave her home until she helps the woman who is selling it find love.
Madeleine Arthur stars as Ruby, who has haunted her former home for decades, only to befriend Anna (played by Julie Gonzalo), who is trying to close her first deal as a Realtor.
But playing matchmaker turns tricky when Ruby decides that Anna is destined to be with Elliot (Chris McNally), the ex Anna left at the altar.
“Will old feelings resurface when Anna @julie_gonzalo teams up with her ex-fiancé Elliot @chrismcnally to restore a haunted mansion?” reads an Instagram post promoting the movie.
Real-life couple
In addition to featuring a fun plot twist, 3 Beds, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost also stars real-life couple Julie Gonzalo and Chris McNally.
The pair met while filming the 2018 Hallmark movie, The Sweetest Heart. In June 2022, they welcome a baby girl.
McNally has called fatherhood his favorite job. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he credited his work with Hallmark for helping him be present in his daughter’s life.
“…I’ve got a wonderful dad job because for When Calls the Heart we film four and a half months, the hours are not crazy, we don’t really have a lot of night shoots so I can be really present with her,” he said. “And then I get the rest of the year, which is like, it’s just such a blessing. So, since wrapping in mid-November I’ve just been on dad mode and it’s fantastic.”
