Emilie Ullerup and Peter Mooney play best friends who reunite in new Hallmark movie
In the new Hallmark movie Retreat To You, Emilie Ullerup and Peter Mooney star as exes brought back together by fate.
“Will it be a happy reunion for high school sweethearts Abbie @emilie.ullerup and Sean #PeterMooney when they end up at the same wilderness retreat?” reads the caption for Hallmark’s post promoting the movie.

Emilie Ullerup stars as Abby, who agrees to accompany her friend (played by Meghan Heffern) on a wilderness retreat. When she arrives, she is shocked to see Sean (Peter Mooney) her best friend from high school.
Abby and Sean had a falling out the night of their high school graduation party and haven’t seen each other since. When they get separated from the rest of the group on a hike, they must work together to find their way back to the campsite. Along the way, sparks fly.

Emilie Ullerup starred for seven seasons on the hit Hallmark series Chesapeake Shores. A native of Denmark, Ullerup moved to Canada after graduating from high school in Copenhagen to attend the Vancouver Film School.
Her first professional role was on the Syfy Channel series Battlestar Galactica. She starred in the shows Sanctuary, Blood Ties, Smallville, Supernatural, and Arctic Air.
In 2014 she made her Hallmark debut on the series Signed, Sealed, Delivered, before being cast as Bree O’Brien on Chesapeake Shores.
Ullerup has starred in the Hallmark movies Hearts of Christmas (2016), With Love, Christmas (2017), Christmas Bells Are Ringing (2018), Winter Castle (2019), Love & Glamping (2020), and Don’t Forget I Love You (2021).
“I’m not sure why, but it was the only thing I ever wanted to do from when I was five,” Mooney said in an interview with Honest Reviews Corner.
From 2012 to 2015 he starred as Nick Collins on the TV series Rookie Blue. He also starred as Billy Crawford on Burden of Truth. Mooney has had roles on Camelot, Wynonna Earp, Saving Hope, 2030 CE, The Murdoch Mysteries, Category 7: The End of the World, and Absolution.
His first Hallmark movie was the 2022 romantic-comedy Fly Away With Me (2022). Mooney played Ted, who connects with Angie (played by Natalie Hall), when they are both hiding pets in an apartment complex with a strict no-animals policy.
Retreat To You will premiere on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, September 23 at 8/7c.
