What’s on the Hallmark schedule this weekend? Four new Christmas movies and a host of old favorites.
First up A Big Fat Family Christmas, a romantic comedy stars Jack Wagner, Shannon Chan-Kent, Shannon Kook, and Tia Carrere.
In the movie, Shannon Chan-Kent plays Liv, a photojournalist eager to make it on her own. To get a dream assignment – shooting the Chang family’s annual holiday party for a cover story – she doesn’t reveal that they are in fact, her family. When she finds herself growing close to Henry, the coworker covering the story with her, she wants to confide in him but doesn’t want to jeopardize her big break.
Next up is A Fabled Holiday, starring Brooke D’Orsay and Ryan Paevey. D’Orsay and Ryan Paevey play Talia and her childhood best friend Anderson, who unexpectedly reunite in a curiously familiar-looking town full of Christmas spirit that restores its visitors when they need it most.
The Holiday Stocking will premiere on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries on Saturday. Nadine Ellis, Tamala Jones, and BJ Britt star in this movie about an angel who has 12 days to reunite his sisters with a family tradition. The movie features a cameo by Mykelti Williamson.
Finally, Undercover Holiday will premiere on Sunday. The romantic comedy stars Noemi Gonzalez and Stephen Huszar. Gonzalez plays Jaylen, a pop star who returns home for the holidays. She tells her protective family that Matt is her new beau, when in reality, he’s her overzealous security guard.

The Hallmark Christmas comedy Three Wise Men and a Baby is the most-watched cable movie of the year, according to Nielsen ratings.
The movie, which starred Andrew Walker, Tyler Hynes, and Paul Campbell, premiered on November 19 during Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas lineup.
According to the ratings, it was ad-supported cable’s most-watched movie of the year to date among homes, viewers, women 18+, persons 18+, women 25-54, and women 18-34. It averaged 2.9 million homes, 411,000 women 25-54, and 3.6 million total viewers, according to Nielsen.
Three Wise Men and a Baby
In the movie, a self-absorbed firefighter Luke (Walker) discovers a baby left in his station with a note asking him to look after the child. He brings the baby home to his mother (played by Margaret Colin) who agrees to look after him. But when she gets called out of town unexpectedly, Luke must look after the infant with help from his brothers, played by Hynes and Campbell.
The premise was a departure from the typical single-woman-finds-love-at-the-holidays formula Hallmark Media has become so famous for. But it worked, according to fans.
“This is the BEST!” wrote one fan on Facebook. “Team those three up, again!”
“Hallmark, you got a winner with this movie!! If you haven’t seen it, watch it!! wrote another.
The trio movie
Hallmark found similar success when it paired up three of its other big names, Alison Sweeney, Lacey Chabert, and Autumn Reeser, in The Wedding Veil trilogy. In those romantic comedies, three best friends experienced the mystery of a lace veil rumored to bring true love to its owner.
The movie was inspired in part by fans. Chabert said that fans often asked her if they would see some sort of cross-over movie, with more than one Hallmark leading lady.
Those films did so well that Hallmark tried its hand with three leading men. The gamble paid off.
“Belly laughs,” wrote one fan. “Absolutely adorable movie!”
Walker, Hynes, and Campbell managed to raise a lot of hype for the movie from their on-set antics. In a TikTok video that went viral, the three stars emerged from their trailers wearing elf costumes. Assuming macho poses, they then strutted off together as the George Baker Selection’s hit “Little Green Bag” played in the background.
Three Wise Men and a Baby will air throughout the Christmas season. The next showtime is Saturday, November 26 at 4/3c.
Thanksgiving on Hallmark will be non-stop fun — Christmas fun, that is. Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries will air Christmas movies all day, including a new movie featuring Grey’s Anatomy star Jaicy Elliott.
In My Southern Family Christmas, Elliott plays Campbell, a woman who has finally located her biological father after years of searching. Under the guise of a journalist writing a story about a tight-knit community that makes Christmas special, Campbell (Elliot) gets the chance to meet her father (played by Bruce Campbell).
As she spends time with him and his family — as well as with Jackson (Ryan Rottman), the town’s handsome record keeper — she realizes that families are messy, wonderful things. In the end, Campbell must decide if she’s going to keep her identity a secret or reveal the truth to her father.
Thanksgiving on Hallmark
Also airing on Thanksgiving Day is the new Countdown to Christmas movies When I Think of Christmas, starring Shenae Grimes-Beech and Niall Matter, as well as A Cozy Christmas Inn, starring Jodie Sweetin and David O’Donnell.
The Countdown to Christmas classic The Nine Lives of Christmas will also air. Starring Kimberly Sustad and Brandon Routh, the movie follows a handsome firefighter and a veterinary student who connect when they help a stray cat. Alison Sweeney’s 2021 movie Open By Christmas will also air.
On Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, the new Miracles of Christmas movies Christmas Bedtime Stories will air, as well as the Catherine Bell classic Home For Christmas Day.

Hallmark fans without cable, rejoice! You can still get your Countdown to Christmas fix. Hallmark has announced a partnership with the streaming service Peacock TV. This means Hallmark fans can watch their favorite network at a fraction of the cost of a full cable subscription.
Between Countdown to Christmas and Miracles of Christmas, Hallmark will release 40 new movies during the holiday season. The films include sequels to Hallmark favorites and will star network regulars such as Alison Sweeney, Andrew Walker, Erin Cahill, Tyler Hynes, Kimberly Sustad, Marilu Henner, and Paul Campbell.
Watch Hallmark without cable
It has become even easier than ever to watch Hallmark without cable. Hallmark Media recently announced it has partnered with Peacock TV. The streaming service will have a Hallmark hub on its home page, with the network’s shows and movies available on demand.
“As we continue to make Peacock a premium streaming destination, Hallmark is exactly the type of brand we want to align with,” said Kelly Campbell, president of Peacock and Direct-to-Consumer at NBCUniversal, in a statement to Deadline. “Through this groundbreaking partnership, we’re giving Hallmark viewers a unique viewing experience while continuing to grow our audience, boosting engagement across both brands.”
The Hallmark hub on Peacock will feature live simulcasts of all three channels with some material available on-demand streaming the next day. A library of Hallmark movies will also be available.
“We’re proud to enter this partnership with Peacock and bring our widely beloved Hallmark content to their subscribers,” said Wonya Lucas, president and CEO of Hallmark Media. “The opportunity to provide our devoted fanbase access to all three of Hallmark’s linear networks will allow our audience to continue to grow and connect in meaningful ways.”
Peacock subscriptions can be paid on a monthly or an annual basis, starting at $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. (Premium subscriptions cost more.)
Other ways to watch Hallmark without cable
Hallmark content is also available on the streaming service Philo. Subscriptions are $25 per month with no contract required.
The streaming service Frndly TV also has Hallmark shows and movies available, with subscriptions starting at $6.99 a month.
The Hallmark Movies Now app has annual subscription plans that allow users to view Hallmark content for $4.99 a month.

What’s on the Hallmark schedule this weekend? An extra hour of Christmas goodness thanks to Daylight Savings Time.
As Countdown to Christmas and Miracles of Christmas continue, four new movies will premiere.
Alison Sweeney, Luke Macfarlane, and Marlo Thomas will headline A Magical Christmas Village, the first of this weekend’s new movies. Sweeney plays Summer, an architect raising her daughter, Chloe, in her small hometown. Her mother (played by Thomas) comes to live with them right before Christmas and sets up an heirloom Christmas village. According to Hallmark, “As Chloe begins setting up the figurines, real-life events seem to mimic the scenes she creates, including Summer’s chance meeting with Ryan (Macfarlane), a newcomer to their community.”
Next up is Lights, Camera, Christmas! Kimberly Sustad plays Kerry, the owner of a boutique in a small town that has been chosen as the backdrop of a big Hollywood movie. When Kerry gets hired to work as the film’s costume designer, she falls herself falling for the leading man (played by John Brotherton).
On Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, A Maple Valley Christmas will premiere on Saturday night. Peyton List and Andrew Walker star in this movie about a woman who is trying to buy back her family’s farm. She has almost all the money saved when a handsome businessman (played by Walker) shows up and announces his intention to purchase the farm.
And last but not least, All Saints Christmas will premiere on Hallmark Channel. Grammy Award-winning R&B artist Ledisi will headline this movie, which is set in New Orleans. Ledisi plays Lisette Toussaint, a successful R&B singer who finds herself under public scrutiny when the media posts a photo of her with her ex-boyfriend Matthew (played by Roger Cross) online claiming that the two are engaged.
When her family finds out, they insist that Lisette and Matthew come back to New Orleans for Christmas. Since they both need some time out of the spotlight, Lisette and Matthew agree to the trip. According to a synopsis from Hallmark:
“With the help of her brash, beautiful, and always opinionated family, she reconnects with her roots – both musically and emotionally. Most of all, she reconnects with Matthew. But should she trust her heart when it comes to the man who already broke it once, or is she headed into another refrain of holiday heartache?”

The stars of the Hallmark Christmas movie Three Wise Men and a Baby have been sharing photos and videos from the set and it looks like the film will be laugh-out-loud funny.
“Buckle up,” wrote Paul Campbell in an Instagram post that featured the three stars posing in costume while the George Baker Selection’s hit “Little Green Bag” plays in the background.
“We had some good fun over on TikTok,” wrote Campbell’s co-star Tyler Hynes in his own post.

The movie, which will premiere as part of Hallmark Channel’s 2022 Countdown to Christmas, stars Campbell, Hynes, and Andrew Walker as brothers who end up looking after a baby during the holidays. According to a synopsis from Hallmark, “…they find themselves on unexpected journeys of self-discovery” and begin to rebuild their relationships and rediscover their love of Christmas.
Cast and crew are hard at work on the movie, but it looks like the stars found some time to have fun. In a video they posted to TikTok, the three actors emerge from their trailers dressed as Christmas elves.

A Hallmark Channel Christmas movie set in London has finished production. Jolly Good Christmas, which stars Reshma Shetty and Will Kemp, will premiere during Hallmark Channel’s 2022 Countdown to Christmas lineup.
“Officially joining @hallmarkchannel Countdown to Christmas,” Kemp wrote in a post on Instagram.
“So the script is so cute, and it was honestly such silly fun to shoot,” Shetty wrote. “And come on, it’s premiering during Hallmark’s Christmas movie countdown. And we are both cute.”

According to a synopsis from the network, Kemp plays David, an American working for a prestigious architectural firm in London. Three days before Christmas, he is buying a gift card for his girlfriend when he meets Anji (played by Shetty). A professional shopper, Anji is unimpressed with David’s choice of a gift card. When they run into each other again, she agrees to help him find the perfect gift for his girlfriend.
A spokeswoman for Hallmark said the film will give viewers a chance to experience London at Christmastime.
“We can’t wait to transport our viewers ‘across the pond’ for this special, holiday adventure,” said Samantha DiPippo, senior vice president of development and programming for Crown Media Family Networks. “We’re thrilled to have been able to feature famous sites and set our story against the unique backdrop of London at Christmastime.”
Hallmark has set several Christmas movies in Europe, including Crown For Christmas, Christmas at the Palace, and A Royal Christmas. However, these films were all made primarily in Bucharest, Romania. Christmas in Rome, starring Lacey Chabert, was shot on location in Italy and Romania, as was Wedding Veil Unveiled, a rom-com that premiered last year.
About the stars
A native of Manchester, England, Reshma Shetty has appeared on the TV shows 30 Rock, Happyish, and CSI: Miami. From 2009 to 2016 she played Dr. Divya Katdare on Royal Pains. Christmas in London is her first Hallmark movie.
Will Kemp starred as Henry Stuart in the TV series Reign. He has appeared in a number of Hallmark productions, including Royal Matchmaker (2018), Love, Romance & Chocolate (2019), and The Christmas Waltz (2020).
No release date has yet been oven for Jolly Good Christmas.
