Wes Brown and Lacey Chabert will reprise their roles as Emily (Chabert) and Jared (Brown), childhood friends reunited by their neighborhood’s Christmas decorating competition in Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up.
Wes Brown posted a photo to Instagram from the set of the movie with his friends and co-star Stephen Tablowsky.
“This little teapot here,” he wrote in the caption. “This man is a treasure. Can’t believe I’ve gotten to do not one, but now two comedies with Mr. Stephen Tobolowski. Actor, Director, Author, Yogi master and by far the best beekeeper I know! Now a great friend. If you loved him last year, you’re gonna love him even more this Saturday night in ‘Haul Out The Holly: Lit Up’ Love ya man!”
Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up is the sequel to 2022’s Haul Out the Holiday, which premiered to rave reviews from fans. In that film, Chabert played Emily, a woman who has just gone through a brutal breakup and heads home to mend her broken heart at her parents’ house. But her parents are planning on heading out of town for the holidays, so they leave her in charge of participating in the neighborhood’s Christmas festivities.
She butts head with Jared (Wes Brown), the head of the local homeowners’ association. In the end, she joins in with the holiday fun and ends up falling hard for Jared.
In the new movie, Emily and Jared are happily in a relationship. While they prepare to decorate the neighborhood for the holidays, they realize that one of the homes on the block is going up for sale. When they find out that the new owners are holiday decorating royalty, the competition ramps up.
In addition to Chabert and Brown, Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up features appearances by Melissa Peterman and Ellen Travolta.
Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up will premiere on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, November 25 at 8/7c.
