Country music star Mickey Guyton’s song Heaven Down Here is the basis for the new Hallmark movie of the same name. The film, which will premiere on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries, stars Krystal Joy Brown, Tina Lifford, Juan Riedinger, Richard Harmon, and Phylicia Rashad.

New Hallmark movie

In Heaven Down Here, four people get stranded by a snowstorm at a diner on Christmas Eve. Krystal Joy Brown plays Imani, a widowed mother of two who’s having trouble making ends meet and has reluctantly agreed to work the Christmas Eve shift at the diner. She finds herself clashing with her boss (played by Richard Harmon) who doesn’t exactly embody the Christmas spirit.

Juan Riedinger plays Felix, a pastor trying to secure food for parishioners in need. Tina Lifford plays Clara, a hospice nurse dealing with an obstinate patient (played by Phylicia Rashad) and the departure of her daughter.

Throughout the evening, the four bicker, bond, and unwittingly provide each other with the answer to their respective prayers.

Heaven Down Here

Mickey Guyton released the song Heaven Down Here in 2020. The song is written as a prayer in which the singer asks for strength to deal with challenging times.

Heaven Down Here will premiere on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries on Thursday, December 14 at 8/7c.
