Hunter King plays a chef who travels to Italy for inspiration in the new Hallmark romance movie Two Scoops of Italy. The movie, which will premiere as part of Hallmark Channel’s Passport to Love programming event, also stars Michele Rosiello.

In Two Scoops of Italy, Hunter King stars as Danielle, a chef who needs to revamp her restaurant’s menu if she wants to keep her investor happy. She heads to Italy to find inspiration. In the village of Ostia Antica she meets Giancarlo Donati (played by Michele Rosiello) a gelatiere who is facing his own problems with inspiration.
 
As the two work together, Danielle finds herself falling for the charms of village life and for the handsome man who is helping her learn about Italy.
 
The movie was shot on location in Italy.

Hunter King played Summer Newman on the soap opera The Young and The Restless, earning two Daytime Emmy Awards for her work. She has starred in the Hallmark movies Hidden Gems (2022), A Royal Corgi Christmas (2022), Nikki & Nora: Sister Sleuths (2022), and The Professional Bridesmaid (2023).
 
In an interview with TV Cheddar, King said working for Hallmark was a dream come true.
 
“Hallmark movies have always been like an escape to me,” she said. “You can always count on them to make you smile and leave you feeling better than before you turned it on. I thought it would be cool to be able to make people feel the same way that I felt as when I watched them. To be a part of the Hallmark family really does feel like a dream. Your job is to make people laugh, smile, and feel good. What’s not to love about that?”

Michele Rosiello

Michele Rosiello has starred in the Italian TV shows Mina Settembre, L’isola di Pietro, and La compagnia del cigno. A native of Naples, Rosiello earned a master’s degree in management engineering before making a career change and becoming an actor. Two Scoops of Italy is his first movie with Hallmark.
